My recent visit to Doda was an experience filled with breathtaking views, thrilling adventures, and heartwarming hospitality.


### Journey to Doda


The journey from Jammu to Doda is about 175 kilometers. The road trip itself was an adventure, with winding mountain roads, lush green valleys, and the stunning Chenab River accompanying us throughout. The crisp mountain air and ever-changing landscapes made the drive a memorable experience.


### Attractions in Doda


Reaching Doda, I was immediately captured by its unspoiled beauty and peaceful environment. The area is home to a number of must-visit places that make the destination worth visiting.


#### **Bhaderwah – Mini Kashmir**

Bhaderwah is often termed 'Mini Kashmir.' It is an enchanting valley famous for lush meadows, dense forests, and flowing streams. I was left speechless by the natural beauty of Jai Valley and Padri Meadow.


#### **Chinta Valley**

Chinta Valley is another beautiful place near Doda, which provides breathtaking scenery and trekking and camping facilities. The entire valley is covered with wildflowers in diverse colors and can be an ideal hideout for nature enthusiasts.


#### **Baglihar Dam**

An engineering wonder built across Chenab River, Baglihar Dam, is a treat to the eye. This huge structure, surrounded with mountains, has amazing views and is a perfect photography spot.

### Best Time to Visit


The best months to visit Doda are those from April through October, because the weather then is pleasant with landscapes at their best. While winters are certainly chilly, yet the view in this season brings forth the image of snow-adorned tops and a placid atmosphere ideal for those preferring solitude.
