### The Journey to Kishtwar


My journey to Kishtwar began from Jammu, which was a scenic drive of about 230 kilometers. The roads were winding, pine forests were dense, and the majestic Chenab River accompanied us on our way. As we ascended, the crisp mountain air and panoramic views added excitement to the trip.


### Attractions in Kishtwar


As soon as I entered Kishtwar, I fell in love with the pristine beauty of the place. Some of the must-visit attractions include:

It is a heaven for wildlife enthusiasts, as rare species like snow leopard, musk deer, and Himalayan black bear inhabit this park. The park has some of the best trekking opportunities, so visitors can discover its diverse flora and fauna.


#### **2. Sinthan Top**

This 12,500 feet altitude passes Sinthan Top is one of the highest passes in the range, with majestic views of the snow-clad peaks and emerald-green valleys. The photographers and adventure junkies have ideal locations to try their cameras for clicking snow fall during winter also.


#### 3. Machail Mata Temple

A sacred Hindu pilgrimage site, Machail Mata Temple attracts thousands of devotees every year. The trek to the temple is an exciting one, crossing scenic landscapes, which makes it a spiritually enriching experience.


#### **4. Warwan Valley**

Warwan Valley is one of the most unspoilt and virgin valleys in the district of Kishtwar. With towering mountains and glistening streams all around, this valley provides an unbeatable setting for serenity and is ideal for camping and trekking.
